I finished up a book today
The end brought me to tears
A book that everyone should read
To drive out racist fears

Confronting your view of the world
Whether you're black or white
No matter the colour of your skin
Let's all join in this fight

Cause there is inequality
Based on where you're born
Even within a single country
Generation left forlorn

Barely chance for honest pay
If you are from the hood
Time to change mentality
Turn this around for good

So my advice to all of you
Is to sit down and read
